We are continuing with a conservative approach to maintain COVID-19 free throughout our Community. Below are our current protocols based on guidance from medical professionals and governmental health agencies:

Outdoor in-person visits for Assisted Living and Memory Care are not permitted until further notice. We understand the importance of visiting with your loved one and we have window visits available for residents. Please schedule your window visit via SignUp Genius on the following links:
Assisted Living
Memory Care

At this time, Independent Living residents may have outside in-person visits with proper social distancing and masks. We wish we could state our Community is open to families and friends, but it’s not time yet. Thank you for your patience and support in keeping your loved one and other residents safe.

Please continue to be mindful of proper protocols when you leave the Community. To minimize COVID-19 risk, we encourage all residents to remain on campus except for essential medical appointments.

Assisted Living Residents have the following quarantine requirement if they leave the Community for any reason other than a same-day medical appointment:
Quarantine in their apartment for 3 days followed by going outside only for 3 days for a total of 6 days quarantine. After the 6 days, residents are able to go to the dining room, activities, and salon as applicable.

Any resident (IL, AL or MC) with an extended time away from the Community (greater than 3 weeks) or a Nursing Facility or a Hospital stay the following is required:

  • Prior to returning, contact Stacey Glynn or call 985-273-3814 or Connie Cousin or 985-273-3830 for information on the required COVID-19testing and the required quarantine.
  • Critical or end of life situations in IL, AL or MC If there is a critical or end-of-life situation, please contact Stacey Glynn or call 985-273-3814 or Connie Cousin or 985-273-3830
  • Transportation On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, bus transportation is available for essential medical appointments only.
  • Drop-Off Items Family members may drop off items, including medication, in the vestibule between 9am – 5pm daily. We ask that you do not wait for the resident to collect these belongings. The vestibule is frequently checked by team members who bring items inside and ensure the intended party receives them.
  • Grocery Orders Residents should now bring their grocery list, including name and apartment number, to the concierge by noon on Sundays. Groceries will be delivered on Tuesdays. The Concierge will contact the residents when their groceries are ready for pick up.
  • Mask It is understandable that wearing a protective mask may be uncomfortable. However, safety remains our top priority.  Masks must be worn properly at all times when outside your apartment (covering both nose and mouth). Shields are not a substitute for masks.

Team members are required to wear masks at all times when on the campus, except while eating or alone in their office.

Re-Openings, Events and Activities

  • Dining We have opened our Assisted Living dining room with a social distance dining program. This opening was indeed a happy reunion of residents and staff. In September, we will have this happy reunion in the IndependentLiving dining room. Soon, we will notify residents and families about the details of the IL dining reopening plan.
  • Crossing Neighborhoods We continue to keep residents isolated by neighborhood for health and safety concerns. AL residents may cross neighborhoods to IL with a staff escort for Mass, the salon, library, and medical clinic only.
  • Mass We have Mass scheduled 5 days/week with limited attendance to enable proper social distancing.
  • Salon Salon appointments remain available on designated days for each Community.
  • Exercise We encourage residents to exercise and walk outdoors as the weather permits. We continue to offer small group exercise classes and the gym area is open as well.
  • Activities & Events To offer the opportunity for safe social interaction and engagement, we are delighted to continue to add more small activities and events.
  • PT, Medical Clinic & Lab Work Wednesdays Southern FlexRehab and Therapy has resumed providing physical therapy services in theCommunity. St. Tammany Health System (STPH), Nurse Practitioner is seeing patients on Monday and Thursday mornings each week. STHS is also now providing lab work in the Medical Clinic on Wednesdays. Lab appointments must be scheduled with the concierge by Monday at noon prior to the Wednesday service.
